RUSTON, La. – Redshirt junior defensive lineman Milton Williams has been named a third team All-American by Pro Football Focus.
 
Williams, who was named to the Conference USA's 2020 Football All-Conference First Team, has started all nine games for Louisiana Tech this season at defensive tackle. The native Crowley, Texas, was named a captain prior to the start of the 2020 season as voted on by his teammates.
 
Williams ranks third in C-USA in tackles for loss with a total of 10.0, including eight solo TFLs. He is tied for sixth in the conference with a total of 4.5 in the 2020 campaign, averaging 0.50 per game. Williams leads LA Tech in both tackles for loss and sacks with 10.0 and 4.5, respectively, and is fifth on the team in tackles with 41, including 19 solo tackles. He has also registered two quarterback hurries and forced one fumble. Williams had a season-high eight tackles and a career-high 3.0 TFLs against UAB (Oct. 31).
 
Louisiana Tech football will next look for its seventh-straight bowl victory on Wednesday, Dec. 23, as the Bulldogs take on Georgia Southern in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 2 p.m. (CT) in a game televised by ESPN.
 
Tickets for the 2020 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl are available now. LA Tech Athletics is limited to 1,000 tickets per the designation of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and the city of New Orleans. The pass list for the LA Tech football student-athletes is included in this number.
 
Tickets for the New Orleans Bowl will be digital. The Tech Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Tech Ticket Office at (318) 257-3631.
