Senior Denzel Harper posted a huge weekend in the long jump, finishing with a season-long jump of 7.82m (25'-8"). Harper's jump was the longest among all collegiate competitors on the weekend and was good enough to place him second in the highly competitive field in the men's long jump invitational. His mark of 7.82 tied him for the 6th-longest jump in the NCAA this season.

Meanwhile, on the women's side in the field events, Leah Scott and Dominique Anderson impressed in the triple jump finals. Scott finished second among all competitors with a lifetime best 12.44m jump in the event, while Anderson also set a personal best mark at 12.34m, placing her third among all collegiate competitors.

"I was proud of our effort this weekend," head coach Gary Stanley remarked. "We had a lot of lifetime bests across the board. Denzel had a big long jump, which was the sixth best in the NCAA this season. Leah Scott and Dominique Anderson were great – finishing second and third in the triple jump, and Cooper Krenkels ran a strong race in the 5,000 meters."

In the men's 5,000m run, Cooper Krenkels set a lifetime best of his own, finishing third in the event with a time of 15:24.33.

In the men's 400m dash, freshman Chris Robinson finished 6th among a crowded field with a time of 48.29.

Meanwhile, in the women's 400m dash, Taylor Shaw placed 17th (57.48) while Jada Branch placed 21st (57.84).

Sophomore Colin Butler posted a strong showing in the men's long jump, placing third in the event with a mark of 7.22m, which was also a lifetime bests.

The Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will compete in one more event before the C-USA Indoor Championships, taking part in the J.D. Martin Invitational next weekend in Norman, Oklahoma.
