HOUSTON – The Louisiana Tech men's golf team wrapped up three days of action at the All-American Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon, finishing their three combined rounds in 8th place (+7) among a competitive 13-team field at the Golf Club of Houston.

The Bulldogs entered their final rounds and nine over par, but proceeded to shoot their best marks of the tournament on Tuesday's final day of action, finishing two-under par for the day.

"We were really close this week," head coach
Matt Terry remarked. "We need to clean up a few swing mistakes and mental errors. We've got some time to get it done before we got to Auburn."

A pair of Bulldogs finished below par in their final individual rounds, as
Mac Murphy carded a three-under 69, while his brother
Sam Murphy shot a two-under 70 on Tuesday.

Teammate
Karsten Green also shot his best round of action on the final day, shooting an even-par 72.

Mac Murphy led the Bulldogs on the individual leaderboard on the weekend, finishing in a tie for 14
th place at three under par overall. (72,72,69 – 213).

Lake Juban, competing as an individual, finished two over par, good for a tie for 30
th place (71,75,72 – 218) along with teammate
James Swash (70,73,75 – 218).

The Bulldogs will have a couple weeks off before heading to Alabama for the Auburn Invitational running March 8-10.
