Ledoux Named C-USA Player of the Week

Junior came off the bench to average 17 points in two Bulldog victories
RUSTON – Kalob Ledoux's offensive spark off the bench for Louisiana Tech in the last week of the regular season earned him Conference USA Player of the Week honors, the league announced on Sunday.
The redshirt junior was Mr. Efficient, shooting 67 percent from the field (12-of-18) and 64 percent from beyond the arc (9-of-14), in helping the Bulldogs pick up two Top-Pod victories over FIU and Charlotte inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court.
In the matchup versus the Panthers, Ledoux made six of his eight shot attempts with four of those coming from downtown to finish with 16 points.
The Sixth Man of the Year candidate turned around three days later and went 6-of-10 shooting, making a season-high five triples in route to a game-high 18 points. He leads the team with 58 made three-pointers this season and has made at least four threes in a single game six times.
LA Tech improved to 22-8 on the season, finishing in a two-way for second in the league standings, and wrapped up the home schedule with a 15-1 mark.
Ledoux and the Bulldogs are the No. 3 seed in the C-USA Tournament and will play on Thursday night in Frisco, Texas at the Star. Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. against the winner of Marshall and UTEP.
