Baseball, Softball Priority Seating Allocation to Begin Monday, Jan. 11

RUSTON, La. – The priority seating allocation process for Louisiana Tech baseball and softball season-ticket holders will begin Monday, Jan. 11, as the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters open their 2021 seasons in their new stadiums in February.

Bulldog and Lady Techster fans must purchase season tickets by Friday, Jan. 8, at 5 p.m. to be involved in the priority seating allocation process.

Members of the Louisiana Tech Ticket Office will begin working with individual season-ticket holders on Jan. 11 to take note of their desired seat locations. Exact seat locations for season-ticket holders will be finalized by Friday, Jan. 22, at the very latest. If the ticket office is not able to reach the season-ticket holder after multiple attempts within the dates of Jan. 11-15, then members of the ticket office will assign seat locations for season-ticket holders without their consultation to reach the individual.

The final deadline to renew baseball and softball season tickets is Feb. 1.

The Bulldogs are slated to host 33 home games in their new facility, including SEC opponents Arkansas and Ole Miss. The Lady Techsters schedule is still being finalized for the upcoming season, but it will include Conference USA series against UTEP and North Texas and a home tournament that will feature Big 12 foe Baylor.

The priority seating allocation process will be based on the following criteria for baseball:
  • Season-ticket holders from the 2020 season will be assigned first. Within this group, season-ticket holders' seat assignments will also be based on their lifetime LTAC giving and current-year giving to LTAC during the 2020 fiscal year.
  • LA Tech fans who are interested in season tickets but did not purchase season tickets in 2020 will be assigned after 2020 season-ticket holders. Again, in this group, seat assignments will also be based on their lifetime LTAC giving and current-year giving to LTAC during the 2020 fiscal year.
The softball priority seating allocation process will give first priority to LTAC donors. The order of allocation will be based on the following criteria:
  • Current-year giving to LTAC during the 2020 fiscal year.
  • The date when a LA Tech fan purchases season tickets for the softball season. This means that fans who purchase on Nov. 10 will get the chance to pick their seats earlier in the assignment process than those who purchase shortly before Feb. 1.
Seat assignments for both baseball and softball will only be for the 2021 season. Seat assignments for future seasons will take place in the offseason before the 2022 baseball and softball campaigns.

In the Bulldogs first season at its new park, home plate chairback seats (1,031 available seats) will cost $200. The third base chairback seats (254 available seats) will be $175. First base line berm seats (75 of these GA seats are available) will cost $125.

For those interested in purchasing tailgate tents for baseball, contact Macy Gilliland at 318-257-5155. Tailgate tents will cost $2,000 apiece and will provide 10 tickets per tent purchased.

The new Lady Techster Softball Complex will have three seating options with specific prices. Chairback seats (284 available seats) will cost $80 apiece, bleacher seats (192 available seats) will cost $50 apiece and first base line berm seats (75 of these GA seats are available) will cost $40 apiece for the season.

Fans who purchase any kind of Bulldog Baseball season ticket are also eligible for a combo package for softball season tickets, which would make both bleacher and berm seating just for softball $30 apiece.

The Bulldogs return a loaded roster for the 2021 season, featuring six seniors who turned down multiple offers to play professional baseball to return to Ruston. Tech posted a 57-24 home record in the final three seasons at the old "Love Shack," which was also its first three seasons with head coach Lane Burroughs in the dugout. Six Diamond Dogs batted over .300 in the condensed 2020 season, including outfielders Parker Bates and Steele Netterville eclipsing the .400 mark.

The Lady Techsters notched a 91-29 home record in the final five seasons at the old Lady Techster Softball Complex. Conference USA Freshman of the Year (2019) and Preseason Player of the Year (2020) Lindsay Edwards will lead the Techsters in the 2021 campaign. With the Covid19-shortened season of 2020, the Lady Techsters are still the reigning Conference USA champions after a 45-16 mark and both the regular season and tournament titles in 2019.

To purchase season tickets, call the Tech Ticket Office at 318-257-3631, email techtickets@latech.edu, or log onto LATechSports.com/tickets.
