@LATechSB Adds Trio on Signing Day

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech head coach Josh Taylor announced three new student-athletes to the Lady Techster softball program as Paris Endris (Airline HS/Bossier City, La.), Allie Floyd (Boling HS/East Bernard, Texas) and Alannah Rogers (Willow Canyon HS/Surprise, Arizona) all signed national letters of intent.

"Our 2022 class is very talented," said Taylor. "These three new Lady Techsters add power, speed, versatility and athleticism. But the thing I am most excited about is how tough and competitive this group is. The new state-of-the-art facilities have propelled our recruiting efforts to the next level. They will elevate our program immediately when they get to campus next August."

Endris is an Airline High School product that helped lead the Vikings to the state title game in 2021 and the state semifinals in 2019. She is a two-time all-district nominee and was named first team all-state and first team all-city in 2021.

"Paris is an in-state talent that is a strong catcher who also has the ability to play both corner infield positions," said Taylor. "Paris hits for power and brings a tremendous work ethic to our program. Her passion for softball is evident each and every time we have watched her play, and we couldn't be more excited to have her at LA Tech."

As a junior, Endris batted .517 with 11 home runs, 44 RBI and 46 runs scored while only striking out seven times in 87 at bats. She plays travel ball for D1VISION Softball, batting over .400 at the PGF Nationals against some of the top teams in the country.

"I fell in love with the campus completely," said Endris. "I have never seen such beautiful facilities. Coach Taylor is such an amazing coach and gives me so much joy of turning this program into something spectacular. The family atmosphere at Tech is something I looked heavily into in a college, since I am so close with my entire family. I can't wait for my future at Tech."

Floyd prepped at Boling High School in Texas where she helped lead the Bulldogs to the district, bi-district and area championships in 2019. She was named the District 24-3A Newcomer of the Year in 2019 and first team all-district in 2021. She batted .475 as a junior with a 20-6 record and a 1.03 ERA in the circle.

"Allie is a tall right-handed pitcher who will compete for innings right away," said Taylor. "She has a tremendous softball IQ and understands how to pitch. She is a true competitor, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome Allie to the LA Tech Softball family."

She was a three-time academic all-district honoree in both softball and volleyball and was named all-district in volleyball as well. Floyd plays travel ball for Blaze United 18u. Her sister, Madison, plays softball at Incarnate Word.

"I chose Louisiana Tech for several reasons," said Floyd. "The facilities are amazing and second to none. Academically I knew I would be challenged to grow. Most importantly it felt like home and that is because of the great coaches and staff."

Rogers comes to Ruston from Willow Canyon High School in Arizona where she helped guide the Wildcats to the Arizona Class 5A state title in 2021 as well as a pair of Class 5A regional championships in 2019 and 2021. As a junior she batted .573 with 12 doubles, 5 triples, 31 RBI and 37 runs scored.

"Alannah is a tremendous well-rounded athlete who can contribute in multiple ways," said Taylor. "She is a left-handed hitter who runs well and has gap-to-gap pop. She has the ability to play multiple positions and will work to put herself in position to compete for playing time right away. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Alannah to LA Tech and can't wait to see her compete on a daily basis."

Rogers has been inundated with on-the-field honors, including being named All-American by Extra Innings and MaxPreps in 2021. She earned the Arizona Sports Awards USA Today Player of the Year honor as a junior and was twice named to the All-West Valley Preps team. She plays travel ball for the Arizona Hotshots 18u Gold – Georges team. Her sister Alexis plays softball at Belmont Abbey.

"I chose Louisiana Tech because I wanted something different from growing up in Arizona my whole life," said Rogers. "Louisiana Tech has a beautiful campus atmosphere. My favorite part is all the brand-new facilities. It is easy to tell that this program will be transforming to something great with the help of all the amazing coaches.

"Meeting each coach, I could tell that they truly cared about the athletes and are pushing them to become the best that they can. This is something that I want to be a part of and make an impact. Hearing about all the new (softball training) equipment and seeing the softball building made me feel like I am going to be taken care of. It is something that I have never had before. Also meeting all the players on my official visit … they were all so welcoming. I am so excited and can't wait to start my journey at Louisiana Tech."
