RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech junior offensive lineman Abraham Delfin was voted First Team Academic All-District 6 as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
 
Delfin, who was also voted Academic All-District in 2020, graduated summa cum laude with a degree in construction engineering technology in May and is currently pursuing a master's degree in engineering and technology management. He registered a 3.91 cumulative GPA as an undergrad and holds a 4.00 GPA as a graduate student. Delfin has been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll four times, is a four-time C-USA Academic Medalist and was a member of the 2020 C-USA Football All-Academic Team. He has been named to the AD Honor Roll 12 times, the President's List seven times and the Dean's List five times.
 
The Plaquemine, La., native has started at center for the Bulldogs in all 10 games this season. He has helped lead the LA Tech offense to average 393.5 yards of total offense per game, including 118.7 rushing yards and 274.8 passing yards per game. The 274.8 passing yards per game rank 25th in the FBS. He has led the unit upfront in allowing an average of just 4.00 tackles for loss which ranks 20th in the FBS.
 
First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐ and second‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐December.
 
LA Tech will play its final home game of the 2021 season on Friday, Nov. 19 when Tech hosts Southern Miss. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
