RUSTON – Louisiana Tech and No. 19 LSU square off in Bossier City on Saturday night at 6 p.m. inside Brookshire Grocery Arena.  This neutral site, in-state matchup was supposed to be played last season, but got pushed back due to COVID.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (8-2)
LA Tech has won four straight and eight of its last nine games after defeating LSU-Shreveport, 84-70, this past Tuesday in an added non-conference game.  The Bulldogs scored 47 second-half points, making 13 of their final 17 field goal attempts to pull away from the Pilots.
 
David Green came off the bench to put up a career-high 21 points against LSUS, going 6-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.  He became the fourth Bulldog this season to register 20+ points in a single game.
 
Three active Bulldogs – Kenneth Lofton, Jr. (19.1), Amorie Archibald (13.0) and Keaston Willis (10.6) – are averaging double-digit points while Green is right behind at 8.0 points per game.  The team is currently averaging 81.2 points per game and are ranked in the top 50 in scoring offense and offensive efficiency. 
 
Saturday will be the first time since 2016 that LA Tech plays in the Brookshire Grocery Arena when they defeated Grambling State in the Holiday Classic.  It is their first regular season neutral site game since 2018.
 
ABOUT LSU (10-0)
LSU is one of only seven undefeated teams remaining in men's college basketball.  The Tigers have won nine of their 10 games by double-digits, climbing all the way up to No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
 
They have one of, if not the, best defenses in the country, ranking first in the nation in scoring defense (53.2) and in field goal percentage defense (33.3).  Only two of their opponents have cracked 60 points with the most being Penn State at 63 (a game which went into overtime).  They also average 12.8 steals per contest.
 
Four Tigers average double-digit points, led by sophomore forward and Cincinnati transfer Tari Eason who is scoring 15.8 points per game.  He is followed by fourth-year senior Darius Days who is averaging 14.6 points.  
 
THE SERIES
This will be the 14th meeting all-time between LA Tech and LSU with the Tigers leading, 12-1.  Nine of those meetings came prior to 1946.  The two teams have faced each other each of the last three seasons (twice in Baton Rouge and one in Ruston as an exhibition game). 
 
LSU won last season's meeting, 86-55.  The Bulldogs lone win in the series came in a 111-109 overtime victory in 1988.

Fans need to go to Ticketmaster.com (HERE) and search Brookshire Grocery Arena where you will find the LA Tech vs. LSU game event.  Before selecting your seats, click the Unlock button in the top right corner of the page and then enter the Offer Passcode "Tech."  Once the offer is unlocked, you will be able to select any available seating in the dark blue (LA Tech) section.
 
There are currently a limited number of student tickets available in the LA Tech Ticket Office inside the Thomas Assembly Center.  The cost is $19 with a valid Tech ID.  Students can also call the ticket office at (318) 257-3631 and their ticket will be placed at will call at Brookshire Grocery Arena. 
 
Parking is free around the arena in Lots A, B, C and D.
