Abraham Delfin was named to the 2021 Conference USA All-Academic Team released by the league office today.
This marks the second straight year that Delfin has earned a spot on the 11-man team that features the top student-athletes in Conference USA.
The Plaquemine native recorded a 3.91 grade point average while graduating magna cum laude in construction engineering technology this past May. He currently boasts a 4.0 in his master's degree work in science engineering and technology management.
Delfin is a 4-time C-USA Academic Medalist and C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree and has been named to the Louisiana Tech AD's Honor Roll 12 times. He was also a 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.
Delfin started all 12 games at center for the Bulldogs this year, playing more than 700 snaps this year for Tech. He has seen action in 48 games during his Tech career.
He is joined on the 11-man team by: Reed Blankenship (Middle Tennessee), Jordan Young (Old Dominion), Hayes Maples (Southern Miss), Chris Reynolds (Charlotte), Matt Hayball (FAU), Juwuan Jones (WKU), Hunter Duplessis (UTSA), Lucas Dean (UTSA), Ahofitu Maka (UTSA), and Trey Schuman (Rice).
