BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Tech men's golf team finished 14th at the LSU Invitational with a combined +67 (327-289-315=931) at the University Club in Baton Rouge on Sunday.

"It was not the way we wanted to finish the week," head coach
Matt Terry said. "We had a solid start today, but we played six of our last holes poorly. There were a lot of positive things to take away and get ready for our next event."

Senior
Mac Murphy led the Bulldogs in the final round of the tournament with a +2 (74). Murphy started off strong on the back nine with a -2, carding back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12. Senior
Sam Murphy and junior
James Swash also registered back-to-back birdies during Sunday's round as S. Murphy recorded birdies on holes 12 and 13, while Swash had birdies on holes 16 and 17.

M. Murphy led Louisiana Tech individually at the LSU Invitational with a +4 (76-70-74=220, T-13th). S. Murphy +17 (83-67-83=233, T-72), Swash +24 (81-77-82=240, T-83), sophomore
Lake Juban +25 (87-75-79=241, 85th) and freshman
Will Patrick +34 (90-80-80=250, 88th) rounded out Tech's scoring. Junior
Blake Blaser competed individually, finishing with a +19 (76-80-79=235, T-77th).

Illinois won the LSU Invitational with a 12-over-par 876. Vanderbilt +14 (878), South Carolina +17 (881), Arkansas State +23 (887) and Florida +25 (889) rounded out the top five.
