RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech outfielder Madie Green was named this week's Conference USA Hitter of the Week following her performance in the Lady Techsters road series at Tulsa.

The Keller, Texas, native led LA Tech to a pair of road wins over Tulsa this past weekend, batting .556 with five hits (two home runs, one triple), two runs scored and four RBI. Green recorded all three RBI in the Lady Techster's 3-2 win over Tulsa in the opener, hitting a two-run home run and then adding the two-out, RBI triple in the top of the seventh to break a 2-2 tie.

In the nightcap, Green gave LA Tech an early 1-0 lead with a solo home run as the Lady Techsters won 10-2. Green added a 2-for-2 performance in Sunday's loss. Tech's two wins were the first two home losses of the year for Tulsa.

Green will lead Louisiana Tech into Tuesday night's home game against Northwestern State. First pitch is at 6 p.m.
