AWENDAW, S.C. – The Louisiana Tech men's golf team concluded action at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday as the team placed 16th with a +33 (299-296-302=897).

"The effort was there this week," head coach
Matt Terry said. "We, as a team, just had a bad outing. We made too many errors and didn't have enough birdies. We will get back to Ruston and get to work on cleaning those things up. Good things are coming."

Tech's best round of the tournament came on Monday when the Bulldogs shot a +8 (296). The Bulldogs were led on Monday by sophomore
Lake Juban who registered a -1 (71) after finishing his last nine holes at or under par. Senior
Sam Murphy finished Monday's round with an even-par 72 and registered an eagle on hole 16.

Junior
James Swash, who competed individually, opened the tournament with a -1 (71) on Sunday. He finished the tournament tied for 38th with a +3 (71-73-75=219).

Juban led the Bulldog scoring with a +4 (75-71-74=220, t-49th). S. Murphy +6 (75-72-75=222, t-57th) and sophomore
Hunter Battles (74-74-75=223, t-64th) followed closely behind. Senior
Mac Murphy +16 (75-79-78=232, t-88th) and junior
Blake Blaser (81-79-84=244, 96th) rounded out the Tech scoring at the event.

NC State won the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate with a -18 (287-276-283=846). Missouri -16 (282-282-284=848), Auburn -15 (283-280-286=849), Kent State -15 (278-288-283=849) and Duke -1 (289-281-293=863) rounded out the top five team finishes at the tournament.
