TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Louisiana Tech men's golf continued to compete at the 2021 C-USA Men's Golf Championship in Texarkana, Ark., on Tuesday as the Bulldogs ended the round with a +2 (290) for a combined +3 (289-290=579, t-7th).

Senior
Mac Murphy led the Bulldogs on Tuesday with a two-under 70. M. Murphy carded five birdies in the round, including four in the front nine. Senior
Sam Murphy finished the round with an even-par 72 after registering two birdies. Both Murphy brothers finished the back nine at or under par.

Individually, S. Murphy leads Tech with a -3 (69-72=141, t-7th), followed by M. Murphy -2 (72-70-142, t-11th), sophomore
Lake Juban +2 (72-74=146, t-24th) and junior
James Swash +6 (76-74=150, t-42nd). Freshman
Will Patrick made his first appearance at the championship on Tuesday where he registered a +6 (78, t-64th).

Middle Tennessee rose nine spots in the rankings on Tuesday to hold the No. 1 spot heading into the final round of stroke play with a -5 (296-275=571). No. 33 Charlotte -3 (286-287=573), No. 44 UTSA -3 (283-290=573), North Texas -2 (288-286=574) and No. 38 UAB -1 (294-281=575) rounded out the top five team scores after the first two rounds of stroke play.

Wednesday will consist of the final round of stroke play. Following stroke play, the top four teams will be seeded and will compete in a match play semifinal on Wednesday. The championship match play contest will take place on Thursday. The winning team will then gain the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
