TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Louisiana Tech men's golf team concluded the 2020-21 season at the 2021 C-USA Men's Golf Championship in Texarkana, Ark., on Wednesday as the Bulldogs finished ninth with a combined +10 (289-290-295=874).

"We are very disappointed to finish the way we did today," head coach
Matt Terry said. "It's definitely not the way we wanted to see our season end. I am eager to get back to Ruston and back to work to ensure this doesn't happen again. The 2021-22 season will be here quickly and that means it starts now."

Junior
James Swash had his best round of the tournament on Wednesday after leading the Bulldogs with a -1 (71) in the final round of stroke play. He finished the front nine three-under and carded five birdies during the round. Senior
Mac Murphy and sophomore
Lake Juban each registered birdies on back-to-back holes as M. Murphy carded his on holes four and five while Juban had his on holes 16 and 17. Sophomore
Hunter Battles recorded LA Tech's lone eagle of the tournament on hole 12.

Individually, senior
Sam Murphy led Tech with a -1 (69-72-74=215, t-13th). M. Murphy +1 (72-70-75=217, t-23rd), Swash +5 (76-74-71=221, t-36th), Juban +5 (72-74-75=221, t-36th), Battles (79-DC-76=155) and freshman
Will Patrick (DC-78-DC=78) rounded out Louisiana Tech's representatives at the championship.

The top four teams advancing to this afternoon's semifinal match play consist of Middle Tennessee -9 (296-275-279=850), North Texas -12 (288-286-278=852), No. 38 UAB -11 (294-281-278=853) and No. 33 Charlotte -7 (286-287-284=857). The championship match play contest will take place on Thursday. The winning team will then gain the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
