@LATechSB to Face Marshall Wednesday

RUSTON, La. – Conference USA released the brackets Sunday for the upcoming C-USA Softball Championships and Louisiana Tech has earned the No. 6 seed.

The Lady Techsters will face the No. 7 seeded Marshall Thundering Herd on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the first day of the four-day event at the WKU Softball Complex. The game will be a rematch of the 2019 Championship game in Birmingham in which LA Tech defeated the Thundering Herd 3-1 to claim its second title in three years.

The four-day, eight-team tournament utilizes both single and double-elimination formats. Wednesday's first round will be single elimination for competing teams, while the quarterfinals and semifinals are set up for double-elimination play. All games leading up to Saturday's championship will be streamed live on ESPN+, while the title game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network at noon CT.

Thus, in order for Tech to advance to the double elimination portion of the tournament, the Lady Techsters must defeat Marshall and No. 3 seed Charlotte on Wednesday.

Fans can purchase single-game tickets to the Conference USA Softball Tournament hosted by WKU at two on-site locations. The first gate is behind the softball pressbox and concessions stand while the second location is at the entrance to Parking Structure 3. All tickets are general admission and are the same for inside the complex and structure.

No all-session or all-tournament tickets will be available this year so fans will need to purchase a $10 ticket for each game they wish to attend. The seating area will be cleared and sanitized between each game.

Every game (minus the championship game) will be streamed on ESPN+ with the title game being televised on CBS Sports Network.
