RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech soccer team plays hosts to Charlotte on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Robert Mack Caruthers Field. The Lady Techsters play four of their next five matches at home.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (4-4-1, 0-1-0 C-USA)
LA Tech opened up C-USA play with a 2-0 loss at UAB. The Lady Techsters generated 10 shots and three corner kicks, but were unable to find the back of the net. They fell to 3-6-0 in C-USA openers.
The Lady Techsters have been much more successful in the first half through nine games this season. Sixteen of their 19 goals have come in the first 45 minutes. Defensively, they have allowed just two goals in the first half and seven in the second half.
Anna Loftus continues to pace the team in numerous categories including goals (three), game-winning goals (two), shots (18) and shots on goal (12).

Laura Ogando have each started all nine matches.
ABOUT CHARLOTTE (4-4-0, 0-1-0 C-USA)
Charlotte, who was a 2020-21 C-USA Tournament finalist, started C-USA play as well on Thursday, falling 2-0 to Southern Miss at home. After winning three of their first four matches, the 49ers have dropped four of their last five.
As a team, Charlotte has netted nine goals this season while allowing 12. Piper Biziorek and Macey Bader have combined to score five of those goals and have taken 40 total shots. In goal, Abby Stapleton has started six matches while registering 17 saves and a 2.01 goals against average.
THE SERIES
LA Tech and Charlotte will square off for the first time since 2017 (fifth time total). The two faced one another twice in 2017 with the Lady Techsters winning 2-1 in Ruston, but the 49ers prevailed 1-0 in the C-USA Tournament semifinals.
Aside from the one neutral site game, the home team has won every meeting. The 49ers won in Charlotte in 2014 and 2016 while the Lady Techsters claimed the win in Ruston in 2017.
TICKETS
Season tickets are $50 while single-game tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 4-17). All tickets are general admission in the new facility with stands comprised of bleacher-style seating with backs.

HERE or by calling the LA Tech Ticket Office at (318) 257-3631. Single-game tickets can also be purchased on a walk-up basis with gates opening one hour prior to the matches. Students get free admission by showing their school ID at the gate.
STADIUM POLICIES/PARKING
Clear bags are required at all Louisiana Tech athletic events.
Parking is free and available alongside Stadium Blvd. as well as west of Dr. Billy Bundrick Field. To access the field, fans will enter the main entrance of the Origin Bank Softball/Soccer Complex and go up the steps on the southwest corner of Robert Mack Caruthers Field. An elevator is available for ADA fans or those who do not believe they can get up the stairs.
