ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech combined for 23 singles and nine doubles victories during the fall season, which included three tournaments. Freshman
Ana Rodrigues finished the fall with a team-high six singles wins while
Leonie Schuknecht and
Ilana Tetruashvili tied for the best record in doubles with a 4-2 mark.
Â
Tetruashvili is the lone senior on the team, having won 73 overall matches in her career. Schuknecht returns as well after having a successful freshman campaign a year ago, playing every singles match at the top position in the spring.
Â
Alexia Romero looks to keep her winning ways going as the junior has compiled an impressive 22-8 dual singles record, the fifth best dual singles record through the first two years in program history.
Â
Lara Unkovich and
Madison Cefalu also return to add depth to the LA Tech lineup.
Â
Rodrigues is one of three newcomers along with
Olga Bienzobas and
Najah Dawson who are slated to make their spring debut with LA Tech this weekend.
Â
This will mark the fifth straight season that the Lady Techsters open up the spring in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Hurricane Invite.
