LA Tech fell in three sets against the Blue Raiders Friday night. Down by four early on, the Lady Techsters shortened Middle Tennessee's lead to one off of two Blue Raiders errors and a kill by Jailen Hurley. Middle Tennessee returned with a 3-0 scoring run of their own before adding a 4-0 scoring run mid-way through to gain a seven-point advantage that the Lady Techsters weren't able to recover from. Hurley and Sydney Jackwin both delivered three kills in the set. Andrea Spasojevic collected over half of her kills for the night in the first set with four.

The Lady Techsters improved all-around in the second set. LA Tech took an early two-point lead with a 3-0 scoring from two Blue Raider errors and a kill from Spasojevic. Middle Tennessee fired back with two kills and collected an error from the Lady Techsters to regain their lead at one. LA Tech put up a fight in the final set through the very end. The two teams went back and forth until Middle Tennessee was able to produce a 3-0 scoring run to give them, a three-point advantage. The Lady Techsters tried to battle back, but the Blue Raiders were able to protect their lead to finalize the match 3-0.

QUOTABLES
Head Coach Amber McCray
"Hats off to MTSU. They've done a great job creating a true home-court advantage with their crowd and band that they fed off of all match, and we didn't handle it well at all. We knew we needed to serve and block well to beat this team, and this was the first match in a while where we actually took steps backward in those areas. We also did not pass nor attack the ball well enough to make the side-out plays we needed to prevent their runs. We just flat out got out-played in every aspect of the game, but thankfully we don't have to sit with it long as tomorrow is a new opportunity to be the better version of ourselves, we know we can be."

NOTABLES
•          Andrea Spaojevic totaled nine digs along with six kills.
•          Ashley Jones collected 13 assists to pair with Kalee Cadwell's 12.
