ABOUT LA TECH (10-16, 3-8 C-USA)
LA Tech comes into Sunday's match after a tough 3-0 loss against No.22 Western Kentucky last Sunday. Middle Blocker, Imana Ellis, was able to produce seven blocks against the Hilltoppers.
 
The Lady Techsters continue to lead C-USA in total attacks with 3,317 this season. Andrea Spasojevic leads LA Tech with 226 kills while also sitting in second for digs with 226 behind McKenzie Johnson's 368. In 31 sets, Morgan Smith is averaging 1.16 blocks per set, leaving her in second in C-USA play with 36.
 
ABOUT RICE (21-2, 11-0 C-USA)
Rice enters into Sunday's match after seeping North Texas 3-0 on Friday night. The owls totaled 48 kills with a .347 hitting percentage. Satasha Kostelacky and Danyle Courtley both recorded 10 kills a piece. 
 
Rice has remained at No. 21 in the latest AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll. The Owls currently lead C-USA in digs per set (16.89), and kills per set (13.58). Nia McCardell is leading the conference in digs per set with 5.02. 
 
THE SERIES
Rice leads over LA Tech 4-21 in their previous match-ups. The Lady Techsters haven't beaten the owls since 2015 when they defeated them in a five-set match 3-2 (25-21, 12-25, 16-25, 28-26, 15-13).
