RUSTON – Louisiana Tech picked up its third straight win, remaining undefeated at home with a 5-2 victory over Oral Roberts on Friday afternoon at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.
 
For the fifth time this season, LA Tech (5-2) got on the scoreboard first by winning the doubles point.  It was a clean sweep across all three courts as Leonie Schuknecht/Ana Rodrigues won 7-6 (2) on court one, Najah Dawson/Ilana Tetruashvili won 6-1 on court two and Alexia Romero/Olga Bienzobas won 6-3 on court three.
 
The Lady Techsters came out strong in singles as well, generating three points all within the span of five minutes.  First, it was Romero who overpowered Flavia Gutierrez at the No. 6 position with a 6-0, 6-3 win.
 
Tetruashvili finished soon thereafter on the neighboring court, outdueling Zere Iskakova at the No. 5 spot by a score of 6-1, 6-3.  Then providing the clinching point for the second time in the last three matches was Bienzobas, defeating Aliksandra Lebedeva 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.
 
Oral Roberts (1-4) picked up their two points on courts one and four while Dawson added an insurance point for LA Tech on court three with a 6-4, 6-1 win versus Reagan Miley.
