RUSTON, Louisiana- The Louisiana Tech track and field teams will open the outdoor season this weekend by hosting the Jim Mize invitational at the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex.

Event:  Jim Mize Invitational 
Date: March 19th
Host: Louisiana Tech 
Site: Jim Mize Track and Field 
Field/Throwing Events:  11 a.m.
Running Events: 3:00 p.m. 
Senior Recognition: 3:05 p.m.
Gary Stanley's Retirement Recognition: 3:15 p.m.
 
The field events will begin with the hammer throw at 11 a.m., and the running events will start with the women's 4x100 relay. For the full schedule of events, please click here.

We are very excited to open our outdoor season with a home meet," said Head Coach Gary Stanley. "The Mize meet is special because it honors the long-time legendary coach, Jim Mize. In addition, the athletes have not competed in over a month as indoors concluded in mid-February, so they are anxious to compete."
