RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech fans can start planning for the Ever Loyal Be Weekend presented by Origin Bank set for April 22-24, a three-day stretch that will be highlighted by Conference USA series for baseball and softball, the Bulldogs annual spring football game, and a statue dedication of Dr. Billy Bundrick.
The action will begin Friday evening when both Bulldog baseball and Lady Techster softball open their three-game league series at 6 p.m. at their respective parks. The Bulldogs will host Middle Tennessee and the Lady Techsters will host UAB.
Saturday will be an action-packed day for Tech fans. It will start at 9 a.m. with the statue dedication for Dr. Billy Bundrick in the commons area between Dr. Billy Bundrick Field and the Origin Bank Soccer and Softball Complex.
Dr. Bundrick served as Louisiana Tech Athletic's team orthopedic surgeon who gave more than 40 years of his professional career to his alma mater. Louisiana Tech has honored Bundrick in a variety of ways over the past four decades. The resume of the Tech football letter winner (1957-59), team captain, and longtime LA Tech team orthopedic doctor (1973-2013) is loaded with accolades from both the University and the athletics realm.
Fans will get an opportunity to get a sneak peak at the
Sonny Cumbie-led Bulldog football team when the annual spring football game kicks off at Joe Aillet Stadium at 11 a.m. Admission is free. Specifics for the game format will be announced at a later time. West side gates will open at 10 a.m. and concession stands will be operational.
Tech Athletics will host a tailgate for the Spring game open to all former Bulldog football lettermen. Coach Cumbie and Dr. Wood will address the group to welcome them back to Louisiana Tech. Lunch will be catered by Catfish Charlie's. Use this

Malcolm Butler and
Teddy Allen providing some action while also interviewing a number of special guests throughout the broadcast.
Bulldog baseball and Lady Techster softball will both play game two of their respective series starting at 2 p.m. at JC Love Field and Dr. Billy Bundrick Field.
The weekend will culminate Sunday as Bulldog baseball and Lady Techster softball are set for 1 p.m. start times in the final game of their weekend series.
