RUSTON, La-- Louisiana Tech track and field student-athlete
Nariah Parks has been named LA Tech's representative for the 2022 Winter Conference USA Spirit of Service Award recipient, announced by the conference office today, April 7
th.
Parks, a freshman from East St. Louis, Illinois, earned the award for her efforts and skills in the classroom, on the track, and in the Ruston community. The Lady Techster sprinter is majoring in Computer Science at Louisiana Tech and earned a spot on the Dean's Honor Roll, C-USA Academic Medalist list, and twice on the AD Honor Roll's list.
Off the track, Parks has been heavily involved in Louisiana Tech's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Within SAAC, Parks currently serves on the Techspys Planning Committee, which is an annual award show centered around celebrating the student-athletes' accomplishments for the year.
On the track, Parks was a member of the Lady Techsters' 4x400m relay and competed in the open 400m.
