RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech men's basketball team will get in some extra work this summer in preparation for the 2022-23 season as the Bulldogs are set to play in Puerto Rico.
Â
LA Tech will get 10 days of practice leading up to the trip on Aug. 9-15 where they will participate in three games. The NCAA allows basketball programs to take a summer tour every four years.Â
Â
"We are very thankful to our administration and to our donors for making this trip possible," said head coach
Talvin Hester. "Not only will this be extremely beneficial for our team to have additional practices and game action in Puerto Rico, it will also be a huge bonding and educational experience where they will grow closer together and create memories that will last a lifetime."
Â
While staying in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, the Bulldogs will also get a chance to experience the local culture and learn about the city's rich history.
