ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (11-10, 4-6 C-USA)
After controlling much of the first half, Louisiana Tech was outscored by 11 in the second half, which contributed to a 65-59 loss to UAB in Birmingham on Thursday. LA Tech had an eight-point lead with 18 minutes to go in in the game, but UAB took the lead back for good at the 11-minute mark.

LA Tech's offensive struggles continued for a second straight game. The Bulldogs shot just 33.9 percent from the field at UAB, their second lowest shooting percentage of the season. This came on the heels of a 38.8 percent shooting effort against Middle Tennessee in the game prior.

LA Tech is shooting 36.0 percent (40-of-101) in the two games combined (only second time since 2019 with back-to-back games of shooting under 40 percent).

Cobe Williams continued his scoring efforts against UAB, recording a game-high 21 points. It marked his fourth straight game of scoring 20+ points, the first Bulldog to do so since Kyle Gibson (2009). It was his ninth 20-point scoring performance of the seaÂson, the fourth most in C-USA and tied for the fifth most by a Bulldog in the last decade.

ABOUT UTSA (7-15, 1-10 C-USA)
UTSA is in the midst of a seven-game losing streak with three of its last four losses coming by a single digits. One of those came this past Thursday as the Roadrunners dropped a 63-59 game at North Texas.

The Roadrunners are last in the conference standings currently, having registered only one victory which came earlier this month against Middle Tennessee.

UTSA gets a good chunch of its offensive from the foul line where they average 14.7 makes her game while shooting 74.0 percent. Both marks rank in the top three in C-USA and top 85 in the country.

Four Roadrunners are averaging double-digit points -- Japhet Medor (13.7), Jacob Germany (12.1), DJ Richards (11.0), and John Buggs III (10.7). Buggs and Richards are the three-point specialists, having totaled 107 made threes combined.

LA Tech leads the all-time series over UTSA, 17-6. The Bulldogs have won five straight over the Roadrunners, including a 91-69 victory in Ruston earlier this season. In that meeting, LA Tech shot a season-best 53.8 percent from the field while five players registered 15+ points.
