HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS - The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (3-7-3, 0-2-2 CUSA) come up short against the Sam Houston State Bearkats (4-5-2, 2-2-0 CUSA). The Bulldogs would fall 2-1 to the Bearkats in Huntsville on Sunday afternoon.
Sam Houston State would get on the board first in the 6th minute from a goal from Pam Murray which was assisted by Landri Townsend. The Bearkats would go on to take a commanding lead of 2-0 in the 45th minute, after a goal from Lennon Porter that was assisted by Ariana Carrington.
In the second half, the Bulldogs would hold the Bearkats scoreless the rest of the game. Louisiana Tech would climb on the board with an 86th-minute goal from freshman
Kyra Taylor. Kali Matlock would have a shot to tie the game in the 89th minute but Bearkats goalie Libby Harper would save it.
