RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's Jailen Hurley was named Conference USA Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Hurley had a phenomenal weekend in LA Tech's sweeps over Jacksonville State, helping lead the Bulldogs to the 7-seed in the CUSA Tournament. The sophomore hitter led the league with a .589 hitting clip between the two matches while playing errorless ball on Thursday with nine kills on 17 attempts. She followed that up by connecting her first six attacks on Friday, finishing with 11 kills and only one error for a .667 hitting percentage.
The Texas native added seven blocks and four digs for LA Tech.
The Bulldogs will take on 2-seed New Mexico State to open the CUSA tournament on Friday at 3 p.m. CT.
