RUSTON – Louisiana Tech is looking to extend their winning streak to three games when they travel to Mobile, Ala. to take on South Alabama on Thursday in the Mitchell Center. The game will be live on ESPN+ and KNBB 97.7.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (4-9)
The Lady Techsters are coming off a dominating performance against California Baptist on Monday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.
The Techster defense held the Lancers to a season-low 51 points and 27 percent from the field.
Seven players scored seven or more points for Tech, including a game-high 13 from Salma Bates and Jianna Morris.
Bates moved up in the national rankings after her performance. She currently ranks No. 60 in the country with 27 made three-pointers and No. 25 in steals at 25.
Silvia Nativi was the other Lady Techster in double figures with 12 points. She added seven rebounds, with four coming on the offensive boards.
Another significant presence for Tech is Anna Larr Roberson. The fifth-year senior is averaging 11.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
ABOUT SOUTH ALABAMA (7-4)
South Alabama comes into the contest having dropped their last outing to Ole Miss on Monday night.
The Jaguars are led by Yolisha Jackson in her first season back after spending the last three seasons at South Florida.
South Alabama has a balanced scoring with five players averaging nine points or better.
Kelsey Thompson leads the way with 12 points per game for the Jaguars. The preseason All-Sun Belt Third Team member has seven double-figure games, including a 19-point performance to open the season.
Zena Elias is a force on the boards with 7.8 rebounds per game. She has seven games with eight or more and three games with 10+, including a season-high 12 against Florida State.
The Jaguars have a strong defense and hold opponents to just 35 percent from the field, the 39th best nationally. They also rank No. 43 in defensive rebounds with 29.1 per game.
THE SERIES
The Lady Techsters are 22-0 all-time against South Alabama. LA Tech took last season's meeting 73-50 in Ruston.

Louisiana Tech is celebrating the 50th season of Lady Techster basketball. All former Lady Techster coaches, players, and staff are invited to the celebration held during the CUSA home opener against Sam Houston on Jan. 6, 2024. A reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, and formal recognition will be during the game.
