RUSTON | Conference USA announced the Women's Basketball Championship tournament bracket Saturday evening. The 11-team, four-round bracket will run from Mar. 8-11 at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, presented by TotalCare. 
 
Louisiana Tech will be slated as the No. 5 seed and will face the No. 4 seed UTEP Miners in the tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, Mar. 9, at 11:30 a.m. on Court B. The game can be seen on ESPN+. 
 
LA Tech finished the regular season 19-11 and 12-8 in C-USA play to earn a first-round bye after sweeping FIU and FAU this week. UTEP also finished the regular season with 19 wins (19-10) and a 12-8 conference mark but dropped their final two matchups against WKU and Middle Tennessee this week. 
 
UTEP swept the season series during conference play, winning the first C-USA contest on Dec. 18, 62-54. The Techsters and the Miners faced off again four games later in El Paso on Jan. 7, taking that one 72-66.
