RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's
Jordan Crawford earned his third weekly honor of the season as the Bulldog was voted Conference USA Freshman of the Week on Monday.
Â
The Ruston native rarely left the floor in the two games against FIU and Florida Atlantic, playing 41 minutes in the 77-76 overtime win versus the Panthers and all 40 minutes in the near upset over the league champion Owls.
Â
Crawford averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 points per game during the week. He tallied 14 points in each contest, one shy of tying his season high. Not only did he have 14 points against FAU, the 6-foot-3 guard also pulled down a season-high eight rebounds.
Â
Next up for Crawford and the Bulldogs is the C-USA Basketball Championships in Frisco, Texas, which gets underway Wednesday, March 8 when LA Tech faces FIU. Tipoff at the Ford Center at The Star is set for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
