RUSTON, La. – The Louisiana Tech Softball team closes out its 10-game road swing with a trip to Ole Miss for a Wednesday night showdown with the Rebels at 6 p.m. inside the Ole Miss Softball Complex in Oxford, Miss.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (23-17)
Louisiana Tech is 23-17 on the season and coming off a 2-2 week, which featured an extra-innings win at ULM and a 1-2 showing at UAB.
Allie Floyd threw seven shutout innings in relief while retiring her final 13 batters faced to get the win at ULM. Floyd pitched five innings of two-run ball at UAB to earn her fifth win of the season as Tech took game two of the series 5-2.
Kylie Neel is the Lady Techsters' top run producer. Neel leads Tech with 32 RBI and 54 total bases while batting .322. She has reached base in her past 11 games while leading the Techsters with nine multi-hit and nine multi-RBI games this season.
Sierra Sacco leads Tech at the plate with 40 hits, 30 runs scored, 26 walks, and a .328 batting average. Sacco has 28 stolen bases this season which leads Conference USA and ranks seventh nationally. The Sophomore is the all-time program leader in career batting average with a mark of .397. She is coming off a career-high three RBI in an 8-7 loss the last time out at UAB on April 7.
Pitching has been the strength of the Lady Techsters, as they hold a team ERA of 2.11 in 272 innings pitched.
Mary Martinez leads the Techsters in the circle with an 8-3 record while posting a 1.92 ERA in 54.2 innings pitched.
The Lady Techsters have done a great job of working out of jams this season in the circle as opposing hitters are batting just .107 (3-28) with the bases loaded.
LA Tech is among the nation's leaders in double plays per game, ranking second at 0.58 a contest.
Scoring first has been a significant factor in the Techsters' success this year, as they have posted a 21-3 record when doing so.
Tech has also swiped 61 bases with a 93.8 percent success rate when stealing.
LA Tech is led by head coach
Josh Taylor who is 62-37 in his second season at Tech and 182-146 in his career, with prior stops at Nevada (2017-2021) and Feather River College (2009-2012).
ABOUT OLE MISS (23-17)
The Rebels are coming off a 1-2 weekend series against Kentucky which saw them take the series finale 9-3.
Mikayla Allee leads the Rebels with a .306 batting average and 34 base hits. While, Mya Stevenson possesses the big bat in the Ole Miss lineup with a team-leading 10 home runs, 26 RBI, and 58 total bases.
In the circle, they are led by Aynslie Forbush, who holds a 1.75 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched.
Jamie Trachsel is in her third season in Oxford, where she has accumulated a 100-59 record leading the Rebels. She has a career mark of 446-243 with previous stops at Minnesota (2018-20), Iowa State (2017) and North Dakota State (2011-16).
