Talvin Hester added yet another impact player to his team on Wednesday with the signing of Jordan Turner, a transfer from Baylor University.

Turner, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound wing, hails from Houston, Texas and has spent the past four years with the Bears and was a member of the 2021 National Championship team.

"Jordan is a winner," said Hester. "He not only brings his talent with him, he understands what it takes to win at a high level. He will be leaned on for his versatility and his ability to do many things on the court as well as for his experience."

In Turner's career with Baylor, the Bears compiled a record of 104-24 and included two Big 12 regular season championships and three NCAA postseason appearances.Â

After redshirting his freshman year (2019-20) at BU, Turner played in 32 career games while averaging 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. His most game action came during the 2021-22 season when he appeared in 13 games, combining for 16 points and 13 boards.

Coming out of high school (transferred to Sunrise Christian [Kansas] after two seasons at Global Learning Village in Houston, he was ranked by ESPN as the No. 11 recruit in the state of Texas and No. 24 nationally among small forwards in the 2019 signing class.

Turner joins recent signees Tahlik Chavez (Charleston Southern), Devin Ree (Louisville), Daniel Batcho (Texas Tech), Terry Miller Jr. (College of the Sequoias), and Sean Newman Jr. (Fullerton College).
