JONESBORO, Ark. – The Louisiana Tech volleyball team finished the Arkansas State Invitational with a sweep over Little Rock inside First National Bank Arena on Saturday.
 Â
LA Tech (0-2) came out on fire and used every aspect of their game to secure the set one win. A kill by
Lauren Albrecht would extend the Bulldog run to 7-0 and force Little Rock (0-3) to call a timeout. Out of the timeout, the Bulldogs would take advantage of four straight errors by the Trojans to extend their run to 12 consecutive points.
Â
A
Jailen Hurley kill kicked off a 6-0 run by LA Tech to give them separation from Little Rock.
Grace Luevanos would close things out to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 advantage.
Â
Runs would continue to be critical for the Bulldogs. A 7-0 run in the middle of set three would give LA Tech a 13-7 lead. Two more three-point runs, and a Hurley kill would secure the sweep, 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21)
 Â
Hurley continues to have a career start to her sophomore campaign, adding 10 kills in the match, giving her 30 for the weekend.
McKenzie Johnson finished with 18 digs to lead the Bulldogs.
Grace Krohn just missed a double-double with 13 assists and nine digs.

"I'm so proud of the way our team responded today to get the sweep against Little Rock.
Jailen Hurley led us all weekend, but she was unstoppable offensively in this match with 10 kills on .429 hitting. Luisa was the x-factor for us today. She dominated the net defensively with six blocks and had several more that forced their attackers into more attack errors. Now I'm excite for a whole week of practice to go refine the areas we need to work on and get ready for UTA."
