RUSTON – After a three-month break, the Louisiana Tech Golf team gets its 2023-24 season back underway taking part in the Sea Best Invitational

Dates: Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 29-30
Location: TPC Sawgrass (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.)

Stroke Play: 3 rounds/54 holes (36 holes Monday, 18 holes Tuesday)
Yardage: 6,873 yards (Par 70)
Participants: 15 teams
ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech begins the spring portion of its 2023-24 schedule, the first of six regular season events. The Bulldogs last played in October finishing 11th at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational.
Hunter Battles leads the way with a scoring average of 73.11 including one top-20 finish that came at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational. Right behind him is Niilo Maki-Petaja who has a scoring average of 73.58 having finished in the top 35 three times.
Jake Plumb enters the spring with a scoring average of 74.33 with his best finish coming at the Argent Financial Classic to open the season. Coming off his best tournament is Lake Juban (scoring average of 74.58) who led the Bulldogs in the last fall event, tying for 26th after carding a 73 in all three rounds.
The fifth Bulldog taking part in the Sea Best Invitational is Will Patrick who enters the back portion of the slate with a 75.67 scoring average, including three rounds at or under par which is tied for the team lead.
