The seventh-ranked Bulldogs are coming off two wins at the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SWIBC) I and II.
Abbie Leiendecker and
Kylee Trexler earned tournament MVPs, with Leiendecker winning the first and Trexler taking home the second title.
Â
Tech used a complete team effort throughout the two tournaments to run away with both titles. Seven Bulldogs finished the weekend with individual averages over 180, with Trexler squeaking by Leiendecker with the highest average at 206.111 to 206.1.
Â
With 12 top 25 teams and seven of the top 10 teams in the country, the tournament will give the young Bulldogs an early test while also giving them time to bond.
Â
The tournament is broken down into two 12-team pools, with each team facing all 11 inside their pool. The teams will then be ranked based on total pins and placed into a bracket for two best-of-seven Baker matches.
The Bulldogs are in the pool with Alabama State, No. 2 Arkansas State, Daeman, Emmanual, Florida A&M, Monmouth, No. 6 NCA&T, No. 18 Sacred Heart, No. 13 Tulane, and No. 4 Vanderbilt.
They will face NCA&T first followed by Alabama State, Daeman, Arkansas State, and Monmouth on Friday. Saturday the Bulldogs will take on FAMU, Emmanual, Vanderbilt, Tulane, and Sacred Heat.

Head Coach
Matt Nantais
"Over the past week, we've worked more on our spare shooting to prepare for this event. That will be a common theme throughout the year. If we can't make a spare, we can't make a championship. I think we're in a good place and this field is really strong so it will definitely test us all weekend."
