No. 7 Louisiana Tech bowling finished second in the SWIBC I Tournament, leading all teams in the qualifying round before falling to Tulane in match play Saturday.
GARLAND, Texas - No. 7 Louisiana Tech bowling finished second in the SWIBC I Tournament, leading all teams in the qualifying round before falling to Tulane in match play Saturday.Â
The Bulldogs opened the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference first in the qualifying round, totaling pinfalls of 957, 898, 982 and 924. LA Tech made the top four to qualify for the bracket round, winning their next match before falling to Tulane in the championship.

"Today was all about seeing how everyone would react in true competition. We had some ups and downs throughout the day, but we ultimately put together more ups than downs. Unfortunately, we didn't execute the way we needed to when it came to match play, falling to Tulane in the two-game Baker total pins.
Tomorrow brings a fresh opportunity with 6 team games on the schedule. Our goal is to come out strong, qualify first again, and take home the event win."
