MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Louisiana Tech had its season come to a close on Friday night, falling by a score of 4-1 to Middle Tennessee at the Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.
Â
MTSU (8-9-0, 5-4-0 CUSA) was able to notch two goals each in the first and second half while LA Tech (2-10-5, 0-7-2 CUSA) was only able to find the back of the net with 15 minutes to play in the match.

Â
Middle Tennessee was able to double that lead just before halftime when Hannah Murphy's rocket from the top of the 18 found the top corner of the net in the 42nd minute.
Â
They tacked on two more goals in the 71st and 74th minute to make it a 4-0 lead. Less than a minute later, LA Tech netted its lone goal off a corner kick by

Head coach Steve Voltz
Â
"Tonight was another microcosm of the season. We played well, competed, but struggled to score. It takes us too many chances to score a goal. We must become more efficient in that area as a program moving forward. I am very appreciative to all the seniors and what they have given to this team."Â
