RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Men's Basketball head coach
Talvin Hester announced Thursday the signing of Jaylen Fenner who will join the Bulldogs for the 2025-26 season.
Â
Fenner is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound wing out of Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, a team that is ranked No. 4 in the preseason UIL Class 6A state rankings.
Â
"We are very excited that Jaylen is joining our family," said Hester. "He brings so many things that will help him be successful at Louisiana Tech. He is a long, rangy athlete that can play in many spots on the court and can play with or without the ball in his hands. We cannot wait until his arrival."
Â
Fenner is already off to a strong start in 2024-25, having posted double-doubles in his first two games with the Eagles. He registered 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 78-71 win over Seven Lakes High School as well as a 24-point, 11-rebound effort in the season opening 69-68 victory against College Park.
Â
As a junior, Fenner was named Honorable Mention All-District 21-6A after helping Atascocita to a 30-8 overall record and a 13-1 mark in district play, claiming the 21-6A district title.
