RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Baseball will start its 2024 season ranked third in the CUSA Preseason Rankings, the league announced on Thursday.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 28-31 record in 2023, had a 15-15 conference record, and finished sixth in conference standings. Dallas-Baptist took the number one spot, while newcomer Liberty was picked to finish second.
Sam Houston and Dallas Baptist made the 2023 NCAA Tournament for Baseball, which the Bulldogs will take on this year.
The 2024 schedule will feature LA Tech's 31 home games as well as 20 of their matchups coming against nine teams who played in the NCAA Regionals last season.
LA Tech opens the season with a four-game series against Northern Colorado at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The first pitch on Opening Day is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16.
