Tech beats Creighton 12-0

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Louisiana Tech blanks Creighton to stay perfect on the season. Louisiana Tech (10-0) beat Creighton (6-1) 12-0, scoring 12 runs and 14 hits with an error, while Creighton managed to have three hits on Saturday.

Louisiana Tech's offense came out the gate hot, scoring two runs from a Dalton Davis RBI single and an Ethan Bates RBI single and putting Tech up 2-0 in the first. The Bulldogs kept pouring in the runs after a Cole McConnell (2-for-4, 2 RBI) 2 RBI single that scored Logan McLeod and Michael Ballard in the bottom of the fourth. First baseman Grant Comeaux picked an RBI after he singled up the middle, allowing Adarius Myers to score.

Tech had a massive inning in the bottom of the sixth following a Dalton Davis (2-for-4, 3 RBI, 1 HR) homerun. Catcher Jorge Corona followed up with a two-run home run, extending Tech's lead to 8-0 in the sixth. After another Dalton Davis RBI, utility player Ethan Bates closed the game with a three-run home run to right field, ending the game in the seventh with a 12-0 score. The Bulldog pitching had a stellar outing, allowing three hits with 25 batters faced. QUOTABLE
Head coach Lane Burroughs's quote:
"Our pitching hadn't given up a run in this tournament. It's hard to lose when you don't give up a run, and they have been dynamic all year. Our bullpen has been good, and our starters have been good, so I'm very proud of our guys."
