RUSTON – The Lady Techsters begin their final road swing of the regular season when they travel to take on Sam Houston at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum on Wednesday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be live on ESPN+ and KNBB 97.7/LA Tech Athletics App.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (12-17, 6-8)
Louisiana Tech held Western Kentucky to two points in the final quarter to come back from nine down to win 45-41 on Wednesday night.
Anna Larr Roberson continues her stellar career with a game-high 12 points. She moved into 19th on the Lady Techster's all-time scoring list with 1,608 and sits 23 behind Whitney Frazier.
Paris Guillory had another strong outing for the Lady Techsters. Guillory narrowly missed the first double-double of her career with 10 points and a game-high eight rebounds to go along with two assists and three steals, including the game-clinching steal with four seconds remaining.
The Lady Techsters continue to be one of the top distributing teams in CUSA, with 13.5 assists per game. Tech is just one of two schools in the league with three players in the top 12 in assists per game. Silvia Nativi ranks fifth with 3.3, Salma Bates sits 10th at 2.5, and Jianna Morris has a 2.4 average for 12th.
The Tech bench has been one of the top producers all season. The nonstarters are averaging 20.8 points a contest and have scored in double figures in 25 games this season, with 15 games of 20 or more points.
ABOUT SAM HOUSTON (7-19, 2-12)
Sam Houston enters the contest having dropped two straight to UTEP and Middle Tennessee after picking up an overtime win against New Mexico State.
After losing leading scorer Diana Rosenthal four games into conference play, Sydnee Kemp and Kaylee Jefferson have stepped up for the Bearkats. Kemp posts 11.2 points a game, while Jefferson is right behind at 11.1.
Raanee Smith has been one of the most consistent presents in the pain all season. The senior boasts a 9.8 points and 9.3 rebounds stat line with seven double-doubles on the season. Smith also leads the lead and is sixth nationally with 4.7 offensive boards a contest. Her 1.46 blocks rank her third in the league.
The Bearkats will go after the ball at any opportunity, and that all-out effort has turned into ample scoring opportunities. They lead the league in free-throw attempts (24.85, second nationally), free-throws made (17.19, third nationally), offensive rebounds (16.1, eighth nationally), and turnovers forced (20.31, 23rd nationally).
THE SERIES
The Lady Techsters have won all four matchups in the series, including a 66-62 victory at home to open CUSA play this season.
