ABOUT LA TECH
Louisiana Tech finished the NCAA season with a second-place finish at the Arlington Regional in the NCAA Tournament after falling to Sam Houston 2-1 on championship Saturday.
Kylee Trexler will start the week off for the Bulldogs in the ISC Nationals. The national Rookie of the Year qualified for the singles portion by claiming the top spot in the sectional with a 1,371. The Indiana native finished fourth out of 687 bowlers between all four sectionals. Trexler led all freshmen in scoring (20.60), strike percentage (52.5), and Baker doubles (59.1), as well as being second in first ball (9.07) and fill percentage (86.0).
Patricia Rosales, Allie Leiendecker, and Danielle Jedlicki will see their final action in a Bulldog uniform after five of the most successful seasons in program history. All three graduate students were named NCTA All-Americans.
Rosales earned Second Team All-American after having her best season on the lanes. She leads the team in average (20.91, 10th nationally), spare percentage (73.2, 17th), and single-pin spares (94.7, 3rd).
Leiendecker became the first Bulldog to be named to the All-American team five times. The Second-Team honor was the third of her career, with the other coming in 2019-20 and 2021-22. She earned First-Team recognition last season and Honorable Mention during her sophomore season. She leads the team in strike percentage (54.7), first ball of 9+ (77.2), first ball average (9.11), and makeable spares (85.0).
Jedlicki picked up her second consecutive nod for All-American Honorable Mention. She is one of the best spare shooters in the country, with a 72.1 percent spare conversion, 87.6 percent on makeable spares, and 91.8 percent on single-pin spares, all ranking in the top 25 in the nation. Jedlicki raised her average for the fourth consecutive year, finishing at 20.07 and a career-best 9.01 first-ball average.
