RUSTON — Louisiana Tech's track and field teams will make a short trip down I20 for the Warhawk Classic at Brown Stadium in Monroe, La., starting April 26.

LA Tech will compete on the track against six other teams from the Sun Belt, Southland, and CUSA.

The Bulldogs recorded seven personal best and eight top-10 finishes at the Michael Johnson Invitational at the Clyde Heart Track & Field Stadium last weekend.

Rodney Heath Jr. picked up two fourth place finishes. The senior set a personal best 21.03 in the 200m while also continuing to push towards a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship in the 100m with a time of 10.26.

Nemoy Cockett picked up a ninth-place finish in the hammer throw. Cockett stepped up for his second attempt and launched the apparatus a personal best 57.33m (188'1'').

Three Bulldogs claimed top-10 finishes in the women's 100m hurdles.
Nike Praetzel,
Tonie-Ann Forbes, and
Kionnah Weaver finished nearly one after another. Praetzel led the way with a 13.80 for sixth, while Forbes crossed right behind in seventh at 13.82 and Weaver ran a 14.06 for 10th.

Praise Ofoku set PRs in their events. Williams ran a 14.63 in the 110m hurdles, Wiley clocked 56.83 in the 400m, and Ofoku recorded 12.16 in the 100m.
