Ivey to Begin Tech Talks Series

First “Tech Talk” will take place on Thursday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. CT on the club level (3rd floor) of the Davison Athletics Complex

RUSTON – It has been a busy first month on the job for Louisiana Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey.

Countless meetings with LA Tech athletic coaches and staff and several persons on campus.  Numerous attended Bulldog and Lady Techster sporting events from Ruston to Huntsville, Alabama to Arlington, Texas.  A handful of speaking engagements at Kiwanis Club and Letterman's Club meetings.  And phone calls, phone calls, and more phone calls.

In an effort to continue conversations with the LA Tech Family, Ivey is beginning a "Tech Talks" series which will be a public, open forum on a variety of topics that directly impact Bulldog and Lady Techster fans.

"We are excited to launch this initiative," said Ivey.  "As I said when I arrived, details are important; the little things make the big things, and our attention to those details reflect a commitment to excellence and long-term sustainability of our programs and student-athletes.

"The Tech Talk initiative will provide a platform for the staff and I to dive into important aspects that affect the fan experience and to gain firsthand knowledge.  I look forward to the opportunity to engage our passionate fans and supporters and to work together to move our department forward."

The first "Tech Talk" will take place on Thursday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. CT on the club level of the Davison Athletics Complex.  This hour-long session will focus on tailgating experience for LA Tech Football game days.
