LYNCHBURG, Va. - A late RBI single from Adarius Myers helps Louisiana Tech secure a victory over Liberty. Louisiana Tech (39-15, 16-6 CUSA) picked up a 4-3 victory over Liberty (22-30, 11-11 CUSA) Thursday night.Â
In the first three innings, one run was scored via a Kasten Furr solo home run in the third inning. Later, in the fourth inning, Liberty scored three runs following an RBI single and a two-RBI double, putting them at a 3-1 lead.Â
Eventually, a Grant Comeaux RBI groundout helped Tech cut the deficit to 3-2 in the sixth inning. A throwing error from Liberty cost them another run, which forced Adarius Myers to score, tying the game at 3-3.Â
After two scoreless frames, in the top of the ninth inning, Tech secured the lead following a wild RBI single from Myers to the pitcher led to Ethan Bates to score, putting Tech up 4-3. Ethan Bates also picked up his 15 save this season following his one inning of work. Sam Brodersen (7-1) earned his seventh win this season after going 3.0 innings after he struck out three batters and walked three batters but gave up no hits or runs.Â

Louisiana Tech will play a doubleheader on Friday with a start time at Noon for the first game. The time for game two will be announced after game one. Friday's doubleheader will be televised on ESPN+.Â
