Tech defeated I-20 rival ULM on Tuesday for the third time this season. Tech earned an 8-4 victory over ULM following home runs from Dalton Davis and Cole McConnell. Davis led the game with a home run, which hasn't happened since he did it against UTSA on May 20, 2023. McConnell's home run was his 14th this season. Ethan Bates tied for the number-one spot in saves with 14 and actively ranks number-one in saves with 24.Â
ABOUT NEW MEXICO STATE (21-23, 7-11 CUSA)
New Mexico State defeated in-state rivals New Mexico on Tuesday night. The Aggies secured a 10-8 win over New Mexico in Albuquerque. New Mexico State is riding a four-game win streak heading into the weekend match-up against Louisiana Tech.Â
THE SERIES
Louisiana Tech is 13-24 all-time against New Mexico State. It will be the first match-up between these two schools in over a decade. New Mexico State swept Tech in a four-game series back in Ruston in 2013, the last time the two teams played.Â
