Mangum Named to NABC Honors Court

RUSTON – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its annual Honors Court on Monday, a list that includes Louisiana Tech's Dravon Mangum.

The Bulldog was one of five players voted to the Conference USA All-Academic Team back in March.  He carried a 3.60 cumulative grade point average while pursuing his master's degree in Counseling and Guidance at LA Tech.

The Roxboro, North Carolina native saw action in 31 of 32 games, including 10 starts at forward.  He averaged 5.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in his final season with the Bulldogs.

Mangum registered five double-digit scoring games including a career-high 23 points against WKU.  He also pulled down at least five rebounds in 11 contests including a season-high 10, which he did in back-to-back games versus Colorado State and Lyon College to open the year.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria.  The qualifications include being either a junior, senior, or graduate senior, having a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2023-24 academic year, and have matriculated at least one year at their current institution which must be a Division I, II, III or NAIA member.
