PADUCAH, Ky. – Louisiana Tech started its string of neutral site matches in Kentucky on a high note, shutting out Austin Peay by a score of 6-0 on Thursday at the Paul Rowton Indoor Tennis Center.

LA Tech (4-2) had the upper hand from the start as a short-handed Austin Peay (0-1) were forced to default at No. 3 doubles as well as No. 6 singles.

Even so, the Bulldogs did not drop a single set in the team match, winning both doubles matches for the opening point as well as all four singles lines.

Zoie Epps and

Alice Brook got the day started with wins of 6-3 and 6-4, respectively. The top doubles pair also had a hand in providing points in singles. Rodrigues defeated Sophia Baranov at the No. 1 spot 6-4, 7-6 (4) while Epps remained unbeaten with a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Asia Fontana at No. 2.

Nina Skoric was dominant at the No. 3 position, defeating Ayden Kujawa 6-0, 6-2. As was
June Vigneron who collected her first collegiate win in dual singles, besting Alice Bolton 6-4, 6-0 on court four. The fifth singles point came from a default on court five.
