
LA Tech Concludes Regular Season At Watson Collegiate Classic

Five new marks were set by the Bulldogs Saturday morning in Jackson.
JACKSON, Miss. – The Louisiana Tech men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the regular season portion of the 2025 season Saturday morning at the Watson Collegiate Classic hosted by Mississippi College at the Choctaw Trails in Jackson.
It was an early start for the Bulldogs, with the men beginning their race at 8 a.m. CT followed by the women at 8:45 a.m. CT. Brayden Vining continued his hot stretch leading the 'Dogs with a new mark in the 8k, as well as being the only male runner for Tech to finish among the top 35.
Dillon Sanchez and Arie Linton each posted a season-best time while Grayson Smith and Cameren Williams made their first collegiate marks in the 8k.
Delaney Lopez maintained her position as one of the Bulldogs' top performers on the women's side, notching a top-25 finish and new personal best in the 6k. Lexa Thompson and Bailey Springer followed, setting new marks in Saturday morning's race as well.
Katie Langford saw her first performance in the 6k Saturday morning, rounding out the top five finishers for the Bulldogs on the women's side. Mallory Swint and Katelyn Bucci also recorded their first marks at this distance in their collegiate careers.
The Bulldogs look to conclude the 2025 season at the Conference USA Championships in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday, November 1 at John Hunt Park.
