Epps Selected to Compete at ITA Conference Masters Championships

The junior will represent CUSA in singles Nov. 6-9 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's Zoie Epps was selected by the Conference USA head coaches to represent the league in singles at the 2025 ITA Conference Masters Championships.

The event will take place November 6-9 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California.  Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference designates one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate in the event.

Epps had an historic sophomore season, earning First Team All-CUSA honors while registering a 37-5 overall singles record, registering the most victories of any DI women's tennis player in the country.

The Norman, Oklahoma native went 25-3 (24 of her 25 wins came in straight sets) in dual singles during the spring, setting a new single-season program record for most victories breaking the previous record of 22 set in 1982.  Her winning percentage of 89.3 percent ranked as the fourth best in school history.

Epps carried that momentum into the summer when she reached the quarterfinals at the ITA National Summer Championships.  The fall season got off to a strong start as well as she became the first Bulldog in program history to earn a spot at the ITA All-American Championships (the lone player from CUSA to do so) where she won three straight matches to reach the qualifying draw.

Her fall season continued at the ACU Invitational where she showed signs of fatigue, winning the Flight A singles title after surrendering just three games over three matches with victories over Texas State, Sam Houston, and Tarleton State.

Four singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists) and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Conference Masters (champion, finalist, third place).
